Parship Dating

parssh.bmp

I used PARSHIP last year on the recommendation of a friend. We were both single and interesting in dating and she urged me to take a look. Said friend was raving about this great website and the fact that you have to take an in depth psychological test of around an hour. That part was fun and yes it did indeed take around an hour to create my profile. The resulting summary was quite apt and very interesting. At the end you are invited to join for a fee and because I wanted the detailed psychological report, I opted for the £80 joiners fee for 6 months.

Well, the report was a disappointment. It didn't arrive immediately as stated, I had to contact them directly and it still didn't arrive until several days later. The free summary you receive gives you all the information you need, the rest is compiled of needless page fillers and an assortment of pie charts and graphs.

Finding my matches was interesting, to see what we have in common and what our areas of conflict might be. The ice breakers you can send to potential matches is a really good idea and works pretty well. Well, I talked to a couple of guys and we revealed our pictures to each other, but nothing more than that came of it and for the money paid, this was pretty disappointing.

Overall whilst the idea of basing a site around the psychology of dating is a good one, I don't think Parship is worth the money, but in the current climate of dating sites, I don't think many of them are worth the money. I'm off to find some free websites.

Hot Deals

I am a huge fan of shopping online, in fact I use the web for practically all of my purchases. Much easier and it avoids all of those annoying crowds! Have you noticed when venturing to the checkout, that there's a little section which asks you for a discount/ promotional code? Well these days everyone's looking for a bargain aren't they and I'm no different I can tell you. Nowadays each time just before I check out, I try to find out if there is some current promotion and the sie I use is Hot Deals UK.

Hot Deals UK is a really easy site to use, just type in the retailer name you're purchasing from and see if there are any discount codes you can use to save money. Simple.

The Impulse Spark For MySpace Addicts

The guys at Impulse have sponsored this fun little widget thing for all MySpace devotees. Following on from the Impulse ads, you know the ones where ladies attract budding suitors with their gorgeous Impulse fragrances, visitors to your profile can type in their profile name to discover the possible 'spark' between you. As an avid Impulse user and MySpace blogger, this seems like a pretty cool tool to me...!

1.All you have to do is copy and paste this link www.actonimpulse.com/index.aspx?contentId=mysparks into your browser and click on ‘Mysparks

2.Pick up the embed code and personalise the widget choosing your own colours. You do have to register first, but it's quick and painless.

3.Copy the embed code from the box and lastly...

4.Paste it into your profile page. That's it!!!

Totally enjoyable and a bit of a laugh!

My Pay Per Post

I've signed up to payperpost. I was initially attracted to the concept of blogging. Period. The idea that it may be possible to make a little extra cash from blogging was for me, like a horse and carrot scenario. Like a paid for hobby.

So how does it work....?

Bloggers are given opportunities according to their page ranking (or visitors per month) some of which are sponsored, from advertisers who want publicity for their products. The bloggers write about these products and direct payperpost to the link of the post. Bloggers are then paid a small fee for the post as long as it remains live for a specified time. The opportunities may range from reviewing finance, mortgage or gambling websites to sports and car insurance.

The main aim for my personal payperpost experience is to find relevant posts to fit in with my blog and not to compromise my intergity by posting irrelevant products or reviews. I think PPP is a great concept and I'm thoroughly looking forward to becoming part of the PPP community.

The PPP site itself is very user friendly and from the looks of the most successful earners, one can probably make some very decent change. Since this my first post, it remains to be seen how my PPP career will pan out. Watch this space....

This post has been sponsored by payperpost.

Celebrity Gossip

Celebritygossip is a brand new celebrity gossip aggregate site dedicated to that subject we love (or love to hate) so much, the already over exposed lives of the glitterati. Not another celebrity website you might say. But I can tell you that on this particular subject there is always enough room for one more, since demand far outweighs supply!

The website itself looks very fresh, professional (and very pink). It is easy to navigate and also easy to find more gossip on your favourite celebs via the 'related chatter' sections. The content is up to date and informative and does actually offer some stories I haven't seen anyway else. We are also treated to specific article categorisations of our favourite celebs and a huge photo gallery (although it does take a long time to load. This site invites the public to vote on the articles and leave comments. Overall, it looks like a fun site to visit.
